ZARA HOME

I am so psyched that the taste makers over at Zara, have finally launched their online home collection here in the States this week. They have gorgeous bedding, and tableware, rugs and bathroom accessories and so much more - I don't even know where to start!
Check out the entire collection here.

SANTA MARIA NOVELLA

My friend James introduced me to Santa Maria Novella a few years ago. Established a little after 1221, by Italian monks, it is one of the oldest pharmacies in the world. All the ingredients are natural and smell exquisite. Rose, Jasmine, Mint, Lavender, Pomegranate, oh yeah! They have products for men, women, children, and the home.
Here are some of the SMN products I especially like.

INTRODUCING GILES AND WINIFRED

When I happened upon these fabulous Male and Female busts from Floral Art in Los Angeles, I was immediately obsessed. So when Mr. Sykes and I headed back to LA for a few days, I had to get them for our house. You can buy them empty or with the succulents planted, and fancying myself as a bit of a Jamie Durie, I bought mine sans plants.

I had a brilliant time at Sunset Nursery picking out all the succulents for Giles and Winifred (I would've been remiss not to name them, I mean come on!!) and these are the results. They make me smile every time I look at them.

YAYA'S PLACE

After brunch I went to check out Yael's new place. She moved into the most amazing apartment a couple of months ago and somehow I haven't made it over. Until this afternoon. All I can say is WOW!

Check it, girlfriend has two sofas, two. That's how big this place is, in Manhattan. Both of them gorgeous, though I would expect nothing less from Yael (she has exquisite taste). She got the Chesterfield years ago, but I found some good ones at Restoration Hardware. The black one is from Roche Bobois, but they don't carry it anymore. Boo! The coffee table is a Pierre Cardin from the 70's and the cut out in the middle is for filling with ice and bubbly (or a gold football). Amazing!

Emily Henderson, one of my favorite interior design bloggers has a great leather sofa feature on her site here.

How beautiful are these lattice doors? There are two stove tops in this kitchen. Did I mention this is Manhattan!

The girl done good, as they say back home.
