TAKE THE CAKE

I'm a voracious reader. My big literary achievement of the year was completing The Count of Monte Cristo with great aplomb in just a couple of weeks (I cannot recommend it enough btw).

Another thing you may not know about me, is that I'm a ridiculous sugar fiend. I love chocolate and candy and cakes and ice cream and chocolate and candy and...well, you get the picture.

So imagine my delight when I came across these images of bookish delectables from Victoria's Kitchen of Chiswick, London.

Look at these things! Do you eat, read or frame them?

I implore any of you lucky enough to be in London right now, to get your butts over to W4 and chow down on The Great Gatsby for me.

  5. Food most definitely can be art and this is the perfect example. These are fantastic!

Something else to remember next time I go to London.

Also, I LOVED The Count of Monte Cristo. One of my all-time favorite books. :)

  8. Those look too beautiful to eat. I'd feel guilty for eating them afterwards, just like I do with Marshmallow Peeps. Delicious things shouldn't be so cute.

  10. These little books are something special.
I love to cook cake by myself and it's really difficult to realize something like that.
Once I realized a cake for my nephew's birthday with marshmallows grren and black like a big Ben Ten's Ultimatrix.
However I'd like to have one of them.

    A big hug from Italy.

  11. Yum! Besides the Count what are some other favorite books of yours? Mine is the Power of One by Bryce Courtenay - have you ever read it? It's great!

  12. I've seen that image go around Facebook :) I'm a crazy book lover, too. I have an actual reading schedule nowadays. Must read no matter how tired I am. Just one chapter is enough.

  13. Funny enough, one of my master's degree project was to create a business plan for whatever kind of business, and we went for what we could call a "Cupcakery" : https://sites.google.com/site/cupcakefolieslorient/home-1. It's staying at university project as I personally want to operate in international business, but this post definitely made me think of my project :).
