OFF THE WALL

 

Whilst still in New York, I passed this amazing wall art in Soho late one night after dinner and was obsessed with photographing it for about a week.

We ended up taking the pictures on an insanely sweltering day and at one point I thought Mr. Sykes might have to peel me off the pavement. I'm not kidding, it was no joke man!

I came across this fun shoot on Fashion Gone Rogue, by photographer Elle Muliarchyk for the latest issue of Dossier. I'm so impressed with model Hartje Andresen, she makes standing on her head look so easy and well, stylish. That's what I call a Yogi.

AND THE EMMY GOES TO...

Julianne Moore is always a red carpet favorite of mine and last night's Emmy showing was no different. 

I gasped as I saw her walk the red carpet in this amazing Christian Dior Couture gown. 

The color is perfect with her beautiful red hair and the simple Fred Leighton jewels are just the perfect accessory.

How she remained so elegant in the 90 degree heat is beyond me. But Julianne was most definitely a winner on two counts last night. Wow!

Which Wang indeed? I already shared my love of the Ruby Monk Strap Oxfords (pictured second from top), so it's no surprise that they made their way into my closet. But now we need to talk about these other beauties.

POINT DUME

 

I spent a gorgeous day in Malibu with Mr. Sykes and our friends Steven and James last weekend. It was my first and probably last beach visit of the Summer. Yes, I know Summer's over, but 103 degrees at the beach does not feel like Fall, I mean Autumn!

I even ventured into the water and body surfed (badly) a couple of waves!

I'm wearing one of my favorite Vix Swimwear two pieces. I was given a bunch a few years ago whilst shooting a movie in Hawaii and I've been a convert ever since.

PS. I know my tan lines are out of control!

FYI. I do use sunscreen!
